Paulie The Piping Plover Books

this.jpg

I am passionate about wildlife conservation, and in my spare time, love reading and writing about endangered and near-threatened animals in New England; particularly in Cape Cod and the islands off Massachusetts. I am a member of Wildlife Rehabilitators' Association of Massachusetts (WRAM) and plan to ultimately become a certified wildlife rehabilitator.

Paulie the Piping Plover was inspired by my childhood and early adulthood time spent on Martha's Vineyard's beaches, and related memories of the plight of nesting plovers on Norton Point and other parts of the island.

Most of my writing shares a theme of animal/wildlife promotion, and how this intersects with overcoming anxiety and other personal obstacles. My goal is to promote the mental and emotional wellbeing of people, while raising awareness for animals; particularly in the context of local wildlife conservation.

Additionally, I am certified in pet grief/loss support through the Association of Veterinary Pastoral Education, and am affiliated with the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB).
